Heather L. HammerAssociate
Heather Hammer is an associate at the Long Beach office of Carroll, Kelly, Trotter, Franzen, McBride & Peabody and has been with the firm since 2007. Her primary area of expertise is medical malpractice defense.
Heather graduated cum laude from the University of California, San Diego in 2003 with a B.A in political science and Spanish literature. She received her J.D. from the University of La Verne, College of Law in 2006. While at La Verne, Heather was a judicial extern for the Honorable R. Bruce Minto, Los Angeles Superior Court, East District. She also clerked for the San Bernardino Public Defender’s Office in the spring of 2006. Heather was a recipient of the CALI Award (highest grade in the class) for entertainment law, international business transactions, public international law and appellate advocacy.
Heather is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, the Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management and the American Bar Association. She participated in the Jack Daniels’ Trial School in 2010, sponsored by the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Heather was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006, and is licensed to practice before all courts of the State of California.
