Mercedes C. Sequoia




Mercedes Sequoia is an associate in the Long Beach office of Carroll, Kelly, Trotter, Franzen, McBride & Peabody. She has focused her practice primarily on medical malpractice defense.

Ms. Sequoia graduated summa cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in 2010 obtaining a bachelor’s degree in both political science and classical civilizations. In 2013, Ms. Sequoia received a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, where she was Editor-in-Chief of Production of the Los Angeles Public Interest Law Journal.

Ms. Sequoia is admitted to practice in the state of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She is on the Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach Advisory Board and volunteers with the Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles. She is also involved in Women Lawyers of Long Beach (’16-’17 President) and California Women Lawyers.

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, baking and going to Disneyland.
